Dad loved oil painting and I still have his much loved artists palette which is a riot of colour and texture.  It reminds me of childhood – always colourful and fun!  The painting of the River Seine is a real favourite because it reminds me of the bewildered French locals who thought that we were crazy English people because we were swimming in the river!!
